Series I

Included: six concerts
Prices: 183 to 525 €

Elim Chan and Markus Poschner, who are conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker for the first time this season, have already appeared at legendary institutions of the music world: Chan conducted the “Last Night of the Proms” in London in 2025, and Poschner has been guest conductor at the Bayreuth Festival since 2022. These two debuts are contrasted by concerts with conductors who have been familiar partners of the Philharmoniker for many years: Daniel Harding leads Mahler’s powerful and spiritual Second Symphony, Tugan Sokhiev conducts Shostakovich’s Twelfth Symphony, which aims to serve as a monument to the Russian Revolution. While chief conductor Kirill Petrenko presents Ottorino Respighi’s atmospheric Roman Trilogy, François-Xavier Roth guides audiences through scenes from Berlioz’s Roméo et Juliette, the brilliant musical setting of the most famous of all tragic love stories.
