Info
Rome – city of the Caesars and gladiators, heart of Christendom, home of public spectacle. A city of glittering fountains, mysterious catacombs and grand parks shaded by pines. With his trilogy Fontane di Roma, Feste romane and Pini di Roma, Ottorino Respighi created a musical homage to the Eternal City – from antiquity to his own era. The three works trace its history, its landscape and its myth. Under the baton of Kirill Petrenko, Respighi’s vivid sound worlds unfold – a musical journey through one of the world’s most storied cities.
