Series H Concerts with the Berliner Philharmoniker

Daniel Barenboim | Picture: Monika Ritterhaus

Series H

Included: six concerts
Prices: 195 to 567 €

Hear the fragile Viennese charm of the early 20th century in programmes with Franz Welser-Möst, who brings the intoxicating ambivalence of Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who conducts Mahler’s Third Symphony, an ode to nature. Daniel Barenboim brings further symphonic classics in the form of Beethoven’s energetic Seventh Symphony and Schubert’s mysterious “Unfinished Symphony”. Lahav Shani’s gaze turns westward to Charles Ives and Dvořák’s “New World Symphony”, while chief conductor Kirill Petrenko looks to the east with works from Czech, Hungarian, and Russian composers. Daniel Harding’s musical journey spans Wagner’s Tannhäuser, Richard Strauss’ tragicomic Don Quixote, and Henze’s darkly suggestive Barcarola.
