Fortunately, women are finally gaining access to the worlds of composing and conducting, both of which remained almost exclusively male domains for far too long. Our Women’s Flex package shines the spotlight on this happy fact. Chief conductor Kirill Petrenko is committed to the music of Sofia Gubaidulina, and on International Women’s Day, internationally-acclaimed conductor Joana Mallwitz makes her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Mitsuko Uchida, who has dominated the piano scene for decades, also features. And the world music series is the domain of women this season: performers include Souad Massi and Sona Jobarteh, who fascinate with their vocal and instrumental music.
With the curated Flex package, you can put together a themed concert package of either three, five or nine concerts (see the list of suggested dates below). You save up to 15% compared to buying individual tickets.
