Jazz at Berlin PhilharmonicHappy Birthday, Nils!

A man in a suit leans against a wall and holds a red trombone in his hand. The background is in various shades of grey and the floor is covered with a draped fabric. The soft lighting creates a formal and calm atmosphere.

Info

His trademark: the bright red trombone. His sound: powerful, groovy, unique. The Swedish trombonist and singer Nils Landgren – also known as Mr. Red Horn – has shaped the European jazz scene since the mid-1990s. This is thanks to his versatility, creative curiosity, and his ever-present joy in making music. Now, this bundle of energy turns 70 and celebrates the milestone with a special concert. Joining him are members of the Berliner Philharmoniker and jazz luminaries such as saxophonist Magnus Lindgren, pianist Michael Wollny, and singers China Moses and Viktoria Tolstoy.
