The members of the Berliner Philharmoniker have re-elected Eva-Maria Tomasi and Walter Küssner to the orchestra board. The orchestra board serves on the Foundation’s Executive Board, and helps shape the Foundation’s artistic, organisational and staffing decisions. Board members represent the interests of the musicians within the Foundation and play a key role in the orchestra’s public profile. They continue the tradition of self-governance that has characterised the orchestra since its founding in 1882.

Eva-Maria Tomasi has been a member of the second violin section since 1990, and violist Walter Küssner joined the orchestra in 1989. Members of the orchestra board serve three-year terms.
