Hilary Hahn has had to cancel her participation in concerts with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Andris Nelsons at the Philharmonie Berlin this December due to her ongoing recovery from a double pinched nerve.
The soloist in Antonín Dvořák’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in A minor, Op. 53, will now be Benjamin Beilman. This will be the American violinist’s second appearance with the Berliner Philharmoniker; he joined the orchestra in Washington D.C. and Ann Arbor during the 2024 USA tour.
The Berliner Philharmoniker and Andris Nelsons are very grateful to Benjamin Beilman for stepping in and wish Hilary Hahn all the best for her continued recovery. The concert programme remains unchanged.
