Vienna is often seen as the cradle of classicism in music – and with good reason. From the symphony and the solo concerto to the string quartet, many of the most enduring forms of instrumental music were perfected here. The musical language which shifts between perfect balance and passionate expression, captivating audiences to this day.

With this flex package, you can immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Viennese Classicism. Highlights include Ludwig van Beethoven’s majestic Fifth Piano Concerto and groundbreaking string quartets, while Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart contributes his celestial “Jupiter Symphony” and an elegant concerto for two pianos – and even encounters his rival Antonio Salieri. The programme also features Franz Schubert, a composer who, rooted in Classicism, opened the door to the emerging Romantic era.
