When the members of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Karajan Akademie are travelling with our VeloStage mobile bicycle stage, they have a lot of chamber music in their luggage. Concerts also take place in places where there is otherwise no stage. The VeloStage travels around Berlin to daycare centres, schools and communal accommodation and enriches the Long Night of Museums, programmes at the Kulturforum and our Open Day, for example. After appearances in Baden-Baden, the VeloStage will now accompany the Berliner Philharmoniker to Salzburg for the Easter Festival.
In early summer 2026, a total of six concerts (two of them open to the public) will take place in Kreuzberg – a district in which the Berliner Philharmoniker have been stepping up their involvement since 2024 through the youth culture initiative. Members of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Karajan-Akademie perform in various institutions, offering brief, atmospheric concerts that create moments of pause and joy.
The public concerts will take place on 30 and 31 May 2026 – in Görlitzer Park and at the F1Stadtteilzentrum at Mehringplatz.
