Welcome to the Open Day at the Philharmonie Berlin! For one day, the Philharmonie belongs to everyone. Together with our partners, we open up the entire building and the spaces around it, with orchestral and chamber concerts, masterclasses, guided tours, workshops and activities for all ages. Listen to music, discover something new and join in  – all free of charge.

One of our key partners is the Musical Instrument Museum. Alongside the programme at the Philharmonie, children can enjoy a treasure hunt and discover the museum’s unique collection of historical instruments. There is also plenty to explore outdoors: on Scharounplatz and Johanna-und-Eduard-Arnhold-Platz, sound installations and hands-on activities invite visitors to experiment, discover and linger. At the same time, the Open Day forms part of the Fête de la Musique. With the theme #SharingMusic, the 2026 Open Day celebrates music as something to experience, share and pass on together.
