Europakonzertwith Kirill Petrenko and Leif Ove Andsnes in Finland’s Turku

A modern, multi-story building with curved architecture and large glass windows is illuminated at dusk. People walk nearby, and cars drive on the street in front of the building under a cloudy sky.

Info

Flowing, curving forms: Echoes of nature dominate the Music Centre Fuuga, opening in autumn 2026. Finland’s oldest city is home to its youngest concert hall, where the Berliner Philharmoniker’s 2026 Europakonzert will be held. Kirill Petrenko conducts a programme shaped by nature: Beethoven’s joyful “Pastoral” Symphony celebrates life in the country, Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture evokes the wild scenery of the Scottish coast, and Leif Ove Andsnes performs Grieg’s Piano Concerto, a cornerstone of the Nordic repertoire.
