Info
Members of the Berliner Philharmoniker explore their passion for jazz and Latin American music in the ensemble Bolero Berlin. The result is a distinctive blend of orchestral finesse with the energy of jazz. The programme ranges from Antônio Carlos Jobim’s laid-back bossa nova and Django Reinhardt’s virtuosic Manouche jazz to the Broadway songs of Kurt Weill and the subtle jazz inflections in Maurice Ravel’s music. It also includes Sambop and Brazilian jazz by the ensemble’s guitarist, Paulo Morello.
