In keeping with the theme of our Biennale Signs & Wonders, Soul Trail explores the spiritual roots of jazz through the tradition of gospel music, which originated in the African American churches of the United States. Driving rhythms, emotionally charged melodies and a dynamic exchange between performers are hallmarks of this musical style. The NDR Vokalensemble joins forces with pianist Daniel García and the quintet of Polish violinist Adam Bałdych.
