Info

The composers of the Baroque era left us a wealth of Christmas music, from cantatas to concertos. Les Accents, one of the leading ensembles on the early music scene, presents festive treasures of the 17th and 18th centuries in a programme titled Heavenly Night. Whether vocal, as in Alessandro Scarlatti’s little-known “Cantata per la notte del Santissimo”, or instrumental, like Arcangelo Corelli’s “Christmas Concerto”: this music is not only festive and full of joy, but also invites us into the world of the Christmas story.
