Info

Mitsuko Uchida’s playing has been praised for its clarity and emotional depth. This recital programme brings together works of striking emotional intensity, from Haydn’s dark F minor Variations and Mozart’s melancholy A minor Rondo to Schubert’s late A major Sonata, composed only a few weeks before the composer’s death. Schoenberg’s Six Little Piano Pieces provide a striking contrast: brief, concentrated miniatures in which every gesture counts.
