    This season, the Karajan-Akademie once again awards the Claudio Abbado Composition Prize to an outstanding young composer. The prize includes the commission of a new work for the Academy, premiered in this concert. Visual artist Norbert Bisky joins the musicians live on stage, creating a new work in response to the music as the performance unfolds. The programme also features Arnold Schoenberg’s expressionist Verklärte Nacht and Mozart’s impassioned Symphony No. 40.
