Info
New York, 1955: the jazz scene is mourning Charlie Parker. Then a young musician from Florida arrives and electrifies the city – with virtuosity, energy, and groove: Julian Edwin “Cannonball” Adderley. As with Parker, his life was brief but legendary. On the 50th anniversary of Adderley’s death, rising alto saxophone star Jakob Manz brings the musician back to life with an all-star band. Pianist Danny Grissett, trumpeter Verneri Pohjola and tenor saxophonist Tony Lakatos join Manz for the celebratory Remember Cannonball.
