Info
Imagine a brightly-lit stage: here comes Pulcinella, a clever Italian trickster, forever dreaming up new pranks – and accompanied by two admiring ladies, although he is actually engaged to the charming Pimpinella. Naturally, this leads to jealousy, mix-ups, and plenty of chaos. But Pulcinella is quick-witted, and always finds a way out of trouble … Chief conductor Kirill Petrenko and the Berliner Philharmoniker bring this madcap adventure to life on the stage. Igor Stravinsky’s music features cheeky violins, swaggering trumpets, and melodies that feign nostalgia – only to somersault into mischief.
