Salzburg; rain. It's not the first time that the festival tour's first station greets us with its world-famous Schnürlregen, or ‘string rain’. This time, however, it is particularly persistent, and it continues to rain for the entire two days. The audience, however, warmly welcomes the Berliner Philharmoniker and chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, and applauds for a long time on both evenings – including standing ovations. Thank you, Salzburg!
