Violinist Luiz Felipe Coelho takes us on a tour of his home city, São Paulo. It was here, as a teenager, that he first heard the Berliner Philharmoniker: he and his sister had sneaked into a concert conducted by Claudio Abbado. Afterwards, Coelho knew he had to move to Berlin – even if the weather and food weren’t quite to his taste. Returning with the orchestra and showing his colleagues around his home city feels slightly surreal, and brings him enormous joy.
