Biography
The Pangaea Trio Berlin was founded in 2023 by members of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Its name, Pangaea, reflects the international backgrounds of the artists: Yannick Rafalimanana, a French pianist of Madagascan origin; Marlene Ito, a Japanese-Australian violinist and Uladzimir Sinkevich, a Belarusian cellist. Following its debut concert in Berlin, projects of the trio include tours to South America and Asia.
