Sharing Music: Together being part

Perspectives on cultural heritage and the future: For us, classical music reflects a centuries-long musical tradition. In addition, we are always looking for points of reference for contemporary social discourse in our educational programmes for different age groups.

Studies have shown that making music and listening to music have numerous positive effects on people. Both are elements that our education programme has combined for many years. In addition to the tried-and-tested programmes for children, families and educational institutions, such as the family concerts with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko, the coming months will see several projects focusing on cultural participation and co-design.

For us, #SharingMusic means not only sharing the live experience of music, but also sharing personal experiences. Incorporating different realities of life, encouraging people to engage with themselves and their surroundings, and engaging with music in a constantly transforming world are the cornerstones of our work.

A pioneering partnership

The Berliner Philharmoniker’s education programme has been made possible by Deutsche Bank since its inception in 2002. The aim of both partners is to make the orchestra's work accessible to a broad public and to generate an interest in music and culture among people of all ages.
