Welcome Back Week
from 21 to 26 August 2021

We want to celebrate the great joy at finally being able to play regularly in front of an audience again in the coming season with a special week and, above all, together with our audience: prior to the opening of the season on 27 August there will be additional events at the Philharmonie, the Waldbühne and other venues as part of a Welcome Back Week. We invite you to celebrate the start of the new season with us. Tickets for the concerts - with the exception of the concert at the Waldbühne - are available online and via phone and cost between 8 and 45 euros. There is a large contingent for young people up to and including 28 years of age at 8 euros per ticket. Tickets for the Waldbühne concert can be purchased via our partners.
Jazz, Chamber Music and a Concert at Waldbühne Berlin with Kirill Petrenko
Our Welcome Back Week offers a varied programme: from the jazz concert with the STEGREIF.orchester to chamber music with Tabea Zimmermann & Friends, a jazzy evening of world music with Avi Avital and the Omer Klein Trio, a world music concert with the famous fado singer Ana Moura and the appearance of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe with Janine Jansen and Amihai Grosz, principal violist of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
The Berliner Philharmoniker will appear twice during this week. On Welcome Back Sunday there will be chamber music throughout the day with ensembles from the orchestra, including the 12 Cellists, and on Thursday, 26 August, chief conductor Kirill Petrenko appears for the first time in the Waldbühne during a special concert with works by Carl Maria von Weber, Franz Schubert and undoubtedly an encore or two. Advance sales for this week begin on 21 June.
