After Emmanuelle Haïm, two other star musicians from France are making guest appearances with the Berliner Philharmonike: François-Xavier Roth and Pierre-Laurent Aimard. In conductor François-Xavier Roth’s programme, he follows a symphony by Joseph Haydn by key works of Modernism: Edgar Varèse’s Arcana in which the composer gives his listeners completely new, unusual impressions of sound, plus the contemplative, melancholy Third Piano Concerto by Béla Bártok. The soloist is Pierre-Laurent Aimard, one of the most outstanding musicians of our time.

Great concerts for young classical music fans!

Classic fans up to the age of 28 can buy tickets for the concerts on 24 and 25 October 2019 online for 18 Euro. The discounted tickets for young concertgoers are also available at the box office of the Philharmonie. Please note: ID with proof of age will be required at the concert hall.
