The Berliner Philharmoniker’s New Year’s Eve concert is considered one of the highlights of the concert season. This year, however, it is special in several respects: Kirill Petrenko presents a New Year’s Eve programme as the orchestra's new chief conductor for the first time – and in doing so, shows a unusual musical side of himself. With George Gershwin’s American in Paris and dances from Bernstein’s West Side Story, he will turn the Philharmonie Berlin into Broadway. The star guest of the evening is the soprano Diana Damrau who makes her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker. She will perform famous songs from musical such as I feel pretty and Over the rainbow.
Don’t miss it!
Live broadcasts are available from 5 pm in cinemas and in our Digital Concert Hall. We look forward to celebrating the turn of the year with you.
