Redevelopment work around the Philharmonie

17 May 2018

Grün Berlin GmbH, the state of Berlin’s urban development company, is continuing the redevelopment of the Kulturforum. This includes the completion of landscaping around the Philharmonie which was started in 2017. Furthermore, Scharounstraße will be redeveloped into a public square.

Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße will be closed to private vehicles as part of the first stage of this redevelopment. Please note the changes to traffic routes and the following changes to public transport:

Herbert-von Karajan-Straße and Scharounstraße are now completely closed to private vehicles. Access to the underground car park of the Philharmonie is only possible via Potsdamer Straße. Taxi- and disabled parking spaces are available in Scharounstraße, and there is no parking for coaches during redevelopment.

The 200 bus has been diverted and has a temporary stop at the Philharmonie in Tiergartenstraße. The M41 bus will turn on Potsdamer Straße with the help of traffic lights.

We recommend all people visiting the Philharmonie to use public transport or – if using private vehicles – to use the underground parking facilities at Potsdamer Platz.

If you have any questions about the current or future redevelopment of the Kulturforum, please contact Grün Berlin GmbH.
