Cancellation: Bernard Haitink

05 Feb 2018

Bernard Haitink has unfortunately been forced to cancel his concerts with the orchestra due to illness. He had stepped in for Zubin Mehta, who is also ill. Adam Fischer will appear in his place, conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker for the first time in the Philharmonie on 8, 9 and 10 February with Leonidas Kavakos as soloist. The Berliner Philharmoniker regret that Bernard Haitink must cancel his appearance and are grateful that Adam Fischer was able to step in at such short notice.

The programme for the second half of the concert has changed. Adam Fischer will conduct the Ninth Symphony From the new world by Antonín Dvořák instead of the Seventh Symphony.
