Berliner Philharmoniker receive “M Award”

18 Oct 2019

Unconventional, high-quality, humorous – the marketing campaigns of the Berliner Philharmoniker surprise again and again with their unusual execution. Reason enough for the jury of the Marketing Club Berlin to award the orchestra this year’s Berlin Marketing Award, the “M Award”. “It is a great pleasure for me to award the prize to the Berliner Philharmoniker,” says Christine Carboni, vice president of the MC Berlin. “The orchestra stands like no other for integration and multicultural vitality. They are ambassadors of peace and are representatives of our cosmopolitan, liberal and free city.” Natalie Schwarz, head of marketing with the Berliner Philharmoniker, stressed: “We are delighted to receive the M-Award of the Marketing Club Berlin. As a world-famous brand that carries its home town in the name, it is a great feeling to be honoured locally.”

Since 2008, the Marketing Club Berlin awards the “M Award” in recognition of particularly successful marketing strategies in the capital. Winners of recent years include Philippa Ebené (“Karneval der Kulturen”) 2010, Jürgen Lock/Christian Jost (“Berlin Marathon”) 2014 and Dieter Kosslick (“Berlinale”) 2015.

The current campaign: “Philharmonische Klangfiguren”. Through played notes, quartz sand forms intricate patterns on a metal plate.
