Wheels made of interlocked chairs, prickly heads made of percussion mallets, music stands arranged as decorative arcs – the illustrations in the season preview for 2018/2019 and on the posters of the Berliner Philharmoniker put perfectly ordinary objects in the Philharmonie in an entirely new perspective and are real eye-catchers. The campaign “UmOrdnung” (ReArranged) developed by the agency Scholz & Friends has just received several awards at the ADC competition. “A very quiet, moving piece of work,” is the opinion of jury member Dörte Spengler-Ahrens, vice president of the Art Directors Club (ADC) as well as partner and chief creative officer at Jung von Matt/Saga in Hamburg. “The city’s orchestra had to manage without a chief conductor for an entire season after Simon Rattle left, and they had to come up with something for communication.” The ADC Competition is organized by the Art Directors Club and is regarded as the most important creative competition in the German-speaking region.
