Vincent Trio

Violin, cello, piano

The Vincent Trio was jointly founded in 1998 by the pianist Alexander Malter, the violinist Christian Stadelmann and the cellist Dietmar Schwalke, who chose the name for their ensemble out of admiration for van Gogh and his paintings. In addition to its numerous concerts in the most diverse venues, the trio’s rapidly expanding activities also include radio and CD recordings. Their wide-ranging repertoire runs the gamut from Mozart to contemporary music, with a major emphasis on works by Russian composers (Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich).
