Creativity in pregnancy

In September 2021, a research project started in Berlin in which the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation is also involved. This project will investigate the effect of creative interventions – especially music – on the resilience to stress of pregnant women and their children.

Specially designed concerts with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Karajan Academy or workshops with movement programmes, singing and dance courses take place on a fortnightly basis. The aim is to show parents-to-be how music can also be integrated into everyday life.

Before, during and after the concerts and courses, the women are medically monitored by questionnaires and heart rate measurements, among other things.

Participation in the project is free of charge.
