Together with the Berliner Philharmoniker and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, young people with an immigration background from all over Germany will travel to the Easter Festival in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden for the first time – in cooperation with the START-Stiftung. In workshops, public discussions, rehearsal visits and discussions with artists, bridges will be built between musical activities and everyday life in society.

In the run-up to the festival, creative online workshops with 60 young people took place from December 2021 to February 2022 to prepare a multimedia exhibition for Baden-Baden. The inspiration for an artistic exploration with a focus on love, happiness and addiction is Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades. The opera will be presented by the Berliner Philharmoniker under the direction of Kirill Petrenko at the Festspielhaus as part of the Baden-Baden Easter Festival from 9 to 18 April 2022.
