Two great pianists – - one from the south, one from the north – follow in the footsteps of the musical tradition of a fascinating musical city: under the title Veneziana, Iiro Rantala from Finland and Stefano Bollani from Italy dedicate themselves to the great musical tradition of Venice with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker. What both pianists have in common is that they are at home in classical music as well as in jazz and are masters of improvisation. Both are inspired by the music of Venice and present it with their own individual sound.
