Radiant heroes, eerie forests: The Berliner Philharmoniker and conductor Andris Nelsons end the season at the Waldbühne with romantic opera. They will be joined by star tenor Klaus Florian Vogt, who is a regular guest at the world’s great stages – from the Bayreuth Festival to the New York Met. This guest performance marks his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker, including his signature role as Wagner’s Lohengrin. Alongside the fairytale world of Weber’s Freischütz, we hear music by sound magician Richard Strauss: his Till Eulenspiegel, selected orchestral songs and excerpts from the turbulent Rosenkavalier.
