An organ matinee for lovers of Baroque and Romantic organ music: Canadian concert organist Isabell Demers makes her debut at the organ of the Philharmonie Berlin – with a programme that intertweaves the movements of Josef Rheinberger’s sonorous Suite for Organ, Violin and Violoncello with Johann Sebastian Bach’s lively Sixth Organ Sonata. In her performance of Rheinberger’s work, she will be supported by scholarship holders from the Karajan Academy. The finale and highlight of the matinee will be Max Reger’s powerful Fantasy and Fugue for organ on B-A-C-H.
