Abel Selaocoe – a musical bridge builder

Abel Selaocoe tells musical stories in very different ways, whether with jazz and classical influences, or inspired by his South African homeland. The cellist, singer and composer sees himself as someone who moves freely between cultures, devoting himself to a sarabande by Bach or an African folk song with the same passion. A virtuoso on his instrument and with an eloquent voice, he creates music full of evocative power, intensity and expression. His musical partners for this performance are bassist Alan Keary and percussionist Dudù Kouate.
