Dima Slobodeniouk, Nicolas Altstaedt and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie
Young, extremely talented, visionary – the members of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie have everything we could wish for from future professional orchestral musicians. Another thing that distinguishes the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, in which the best students from colleges of music in German-speaking countries play, is their innovative programming. During their appearance at the Philharmonie Berlin under conductor Dima Slobodeniouk, they present sensuous music from the Romantic period, Modernism and the avant-garde, with works by Richard Wagner, Arnold Schoenberg and Esa-Pekka Salonen. Soloist for the concert is star cellist Nicolas Altstaedt.
