Organ matinee with Yves Castagnet and Andre Schoch

Organ and trumpet are a popular duo in the concert hall. The silvery lustre of the organ sound blends wonderfully with the brilliant tone of the trumpet. In this concert, the French star organist Yves Castagnet and Andre Schoch, trumpeter with the Berliner Philharmoniker, join forces. The programme includes three original works for organ and trumpet: Harald Genzmer’s melodious Sonata for Organ and Trumpet, composed in 1971, Récits héroïques (Heroic Tales) by the young French composer Jean-Baptiste Robin and Thierry Escaich’s exciting Tanz-Fantasie.
