In this concert, you will experience famous scenes of nature. Felix Mendelssohn describes the austere beauty of the Scottish Fingal's Cave, while Ludwig van Beethoven depicts the atmosphere of a day in the countryside. In Robert Schumann's Cello Concerto, on the other hand, we encounter landscapes of the soul, both stirring and melancholy. The soloist is Jean-Guihen Queyras, for whom the concerto is “the most beautiful there is for this instrument.” Robin Ticciati, known to Berlin audiences as principal conductor of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, leads the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
