Triple Mozart with Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra
The years 1785/86 marked a decisive phase in Mozart’s artistic development: his style became more dramatic, more eloquent and presented a new kind of storytelling. In their project Mozart Momentum, pianist Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra focus on compositions from that period. In this concert, they perform the Piano Concertos No. 23 and No. 24 plus the “Prague” Symphony: works that were all written around the period Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro was composed, and whose conception was influenced by the opera.
