Programme

For Enno Poppe things and sounds have one thing in common: they have a physical quality. That is why the composer likes to give his works noun titles. In Koffer (Suitcase)he brings together many moods and styles from opera, jazz and electronics to create a witty and ironic ensemble piece. The basic principle behind Rebecca Saunders’ work is to transform one sound into another, and in so doing create a fascinating texture of sound. Milica Djordjević, prizewinner of the Claudio Abbado Composition Prize, captivates with her rhythmic style.
