Piotr Anderszewski has been compared to the legendary Sviatoslav Richter more than once – for example, the Frankfurter Rundschau wrote that he had Richter’s “feeling for nuances and allegedly subordinate voices that would otherwise hardly be audible”. The Polish-Hungarian pianist is unquestionably a master of the refined touch, of natural style and the desire for perfection in one. Piotr Anderszewski associates Johann Sebastian Bach with “very definite ideas” and he thus polishes every nuance for years – which can also be heard clearly in his interpretation of the Well-Tempered Clavier.
