When the term “Golden Twenties” is mentioned, one thinks first of the colourful world of the revue and cabaret. But Berlin also played a prominent role in “serious” music in those days. During this musical and literary excursion through the Berlin of the 1920s chanson and avant-garde are equally represented. When the actress and chanteuse Dagmar Manzel joins members of the Berliner Philharmoniker, musical enjoyment at the highest level is guaranteed.
