The 1920s were a time of contradictions and contrasts, of hopes and missed opportunities, of confidence and anxiety. The extremes were pushed to the limit simultaneously in literature, art and music. But how “golden” were the Golden Twenties? What was reality, what was stylization? What was life like in Berlin during the Weimar Republic? Best-seller author and art historian Florian Illies, historian Daniel Schönpflug and journalists Nathalie Boegel and Tilman Krause discuss these questions and others.
