Programme

A superlative string quartet: Made in Berlin was founded by Philharmonic 1st concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley and Australian-Taiwanese violinist Ray Chen. The other two musicians are Amihai Grosz, 1st principal viola of the Berliner Philharmoniker, and Stephan Koncz, member of the Philharmonic cello section. “I got to know Noah in 2009,” Chen says, “when we were both finalists at the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and we talked for a long time about possibilities to perform together. Together with Amihai and Stephan, our dream team was complete.”
