Brass music with Stefan Dohr and the Karajan Academy
Festive sacred sounds, affirming fanfares and up-beat big-band sounds: brass instruments play a prominent role in a wide variety of musical genres. Under the direction of the Philharmoniker’s principal horn player Stefan Dohr, the brass of the Berlin Philharmonic come together with their counterparts in the Karajan Academy. The programme includes works by Paul Dukas, Claude Debussy, Henri Tomasi, Leonard Bernstein and Vito Žuraj.
