Chamber Music

Classical music, tango and more

An entertaining concert for a good cause: the pianist Elena Bashkirova opens the programme with Piotr Illych Tchaikovsky’s delightful piano miniatures entitled Children’s Album. Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ghost Trio, which is played by the Philharmonia Klaviertrio Berlin, takes us to more disturbing soundworlds. Finally, there is a musical excursion to Argentina, with tangos by Astor Piazzolla performed by the ensemble Violentango, consisting of four of the Philharmoniker’s viola players.
