Chamber Music

The Philharmonia Quartet plays Mozart, Shostakovich and Debussy

This quartet concert is given by one of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s own “in-house” ensembles: the “day job” of the members of the Philharmonia Quartet is as musicians of the orchestra, and they see this as an advantage and an asset when it comes to performing chamber music. The ensemble members also know the composers of the string quartets presented in this programme from the symphonic repertoire, an aspect which has a marked influence on their interpretative approach.
