Chamber music with Yuja Wang, Andreas Ottensamer and Daishin Kashimoto

Together with the pianist Yuja Wang, the Philharmoniker’s concertmaster Daishin Kashimoto and principal clarinet Andreas Ottensamer form a “trio infernal”: the ensemble performs the concert suite from Igor Stravinsky’s chamber opera L’Histoire du soldat, in which a soldier sells his violin – and with it also his soul – to the devil. In addition, the three also play Béla Bartók’s trio Contrasts, which is based on Hungarian and Romanian folk songs. Yuja Wang also performs solo, in piano works by Johannes Brahms and György Ligeti.
