The creative projects of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s education programme take up the orchestra repertoire and enable different approaches to the world of classical music. The paths to get there are very multi-faceted; the projects show the entire spectrum of possibilities to approach the music in a creative and interdisciplinary fashion. Be it in compositions of their own or in encounters with other forms of art: participants will discover their own possibilities of expression.
In this project for Berlin secondary schools, the focus is on Franz Schubert’s song cycle Winterreise. In the context of Hans Zender’s composed interpretation, pupils will develop musical and staged interpretations of their own that address the key issues of alienation, loss and being driven.
